Memorable Days

Daily Prompt: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious
You get some incredibly, amazingly, wonderfully fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

When I get amazing, wonderful news I smile and have tears in my eyes at the same time. It seems intense happiness brings on tears as well. At that moment I feel thankful to God that he blessed me with good tidings. I feel humbled at the same time that it could have been the other way round.

The whole day I go around with a blissful smile on my face. I share the good news with my children first, and if family or friends call they do get to hear my news as well. I have seen many among my family and friends, they don’t share their happy news with you. They feel if they reveal their news they may attract the evil eye. Sooner or later you hear it from some other source, you feel a sort of let down.

It is the norm among us to send something sweet to family and friends and that’s what I do.

The day seems to me full of brightness and to me it looks as if the whole world is rejoicing along with me.

Here is a poem by me.

You greet the incredible news with heart bursting and celebration
Have a sumptuous meal and give thanks a zillion

The news you hear you did never envision
You feel incredible joy and elation
You laugh and dance to enliven
And enjoy the time and feel yourself in Heaven

One does have memorable days
But as life goes by you forget
Hazyness occurs the memory goes dull
Time flows past and you do forget

The happiness you felt becomes a thing of the past
The feelings so blissful become vague and don’t last
Memorable Days
