Daily Prompt: Tell your tried and true techniques for focusing when that deadline looms and you need to get work done. In other words, how do you avoid wasted days and wasted nights?
This is how I look, when the deadline approaches, and I have failed to do my work.
It depends on an individual, how much time, energy and efforts have been devoted to the work in hand.
If from day one, a person commits to a certain amount of time, to spend on the work to be done, the work begins. What are the requirements, the strategy, the work to be done, all this requires planning.
On the last day, a person doesn’t go to pieces with anxiety and stress, if work on the assignment was started earlier.
Even, if we are really busy, we should find time for the work to be done, little by little. Then only life becomes, manageable.
For myself, I try to keep calm outwardly, (inside I am slowly breaking into pieces) and carry on.

Time Wasted Away
I finally learned the “little by little” in graduate school. I found that I often overestimate the time it takes to do things. Maybe younger years of procrastination and worry created this outlook.
