Daily Prompt: An Ounce of Home
You’re embarking on a year long round – the – world adventure, and can take only one small object with you to remind you of home. What do you bring along for the trip?

For a world trip you need someone close, to go with you and share the thrill, wonder, vistas you get to see. Another thing is which is too bad, I have become a creature of comfort. I can’t rough it now.

A year back, I left my own home to come here. I packed two bags. I couldn’t pick anything which required a large space. The two bags allowed were 23Kg each. Believe me , they filled up so quickly. After weighing them, I took most stuff out again. I left my laptop even. I couldn’t cope with the shoulder bag, and laptop bag together on my shoulder.

I brought memories with me, as they didn’t occupy space, and two photos.
The two photos were: one was of my husband alone, and the other one was a group photograph.

In it my husband, son, daughter and I are standing in front of the rockery. Even that is a memory now.

    1. You can’t go around the world alone without someone by your side, your husband, daughter or friend. You may fall sick. At least two together are better than being alone, and you enjoy more. That’s my feelings.

      1. I have a friend who travels sounds good the world. Sometimes she goes alone. When she does, she always comes home having met new friends. Usually she travels with someone.

      2. She must be young. Either that, or maybe she is young at heart. I admire people who can go on world trips alone, but I know I am not one of them. To me the world seems too scary to go alone.
