Punctuation

We all have strange relationships with punctuation — do you over use exclamation marks? Do you avoid semi colons like the plague? What type of punctuation could you never live without? Tell us all about your punctuation quirks.

Oh! This is tricky. I use punctuation marks when I need them. Probably the most commonly used are periods, commas, question marks, exclamation marks and apostrophes.

Without period and comma everyone will feel lost. We won’t know where the sentence ended without period.

I am thinking now, we are beholden to these punctuation marks. Where will we be!

The person who set them into motion must have been a genius. Anyone knows the name?

The one I rarely use is semi colon. Why I don’t use it when it is right there waiting, I can’t fathom? Why not?
