New Excavation

Daily Prompt: Digging Up Your Digs
500 years from now on, an archaeologist accidentally stumbles on the ruins of your home, long buried underground. What will she learn about early – 21st – century humans by going through (what remains of) your stuff?

News on one of the channels 500 years from now on:
An archaeologist at the digging site

Recent excavations unearthed from one of the diggings on a site (my home 500 years ago) tapestries, crockery and items (once cleaned will be of considerable value).

Furniture found has been partly eaten by termites. None of the pieces have survived as whole. Mud and water has greatly damaged every thing except for the crockery found. Some exquisite pieces still survive.

The white marble used in fireplaces looks black now with fungus.

More later on.
