You’re There For Me

Imaginary Friend
by Ben Huberman
Many of us had imaginary friends as young children. If your imaginary friend grew up alongside you, what would his/her/its life be like today? (Didn’t have one? write about a non-imaginary friend you haven’t seen since childhood.)

A book I read in my childhood (I don’t remember the name), the child had a shadow, which could go anywhere. When the child wouldn’t be present, the shadow would take her place, and would act like her.

How I wished for a friend like that. Praying to get one, didn’t help. A friend like the one in the book didn’t materialize.

Due to my father’s postings, we moved frequently from one place to another. I have forgotten the names of those I had as friends.

My children, and my sister are my friends now, and above all I have one constant friend, and He is God.

Thank you God for being there for me.
