Fears in my Heart

Full of fears is my aching heart

I fail to knock them completely out

They dig their feet in, and won’t budge

How do I get them to lockout

Some are old, and some are recent

Lingering inside to terrify and knockout

A thought or an event brings them surging

Spreading hateful tentacles throughout

Writhing within, and constricting

Squeezing my heart to burnout

You’re locked in a room with your greatest fear. Describe what’s in the room.
