My fabric of life is getting worn, and threadbare
While I try to minimize the wear, and tear
The shards of jagged glass flung at me
Unsuspectingly from those who I thought were my friends
Is sometimes more than I can bear
Life is a struggle at best of times
Thorns and needles adorn my way
Brushing them aside I tread the treacherous path
Trying to keep the harm at bay
(Sheen-March2018)

Nice work! “My fabric of life is getting worn” ~ your opening really grabbed me because I feel the same way sometimes. I’ve found that fabric that’s a little more worn-out is also more comfortable than the crisp ones, though, so…maybe there’s also value in that. 🙂

Thank you. I do feel worn out with worries, and this and that at times, but at the same time I feel thankful to God for His help in living this life.
