Abandoned Tapestry

The Object of My Dejection
by Krista
Tell us about the object of your dejection — something you made, a masterpiece unfinished, or some sort of project that failed to meet your expectations. What did you learn from the experience? How would you do things differently next time?

I always wanted to paint. What I needed was to take classes, and years of dedication to attain the object of my dreams. What I was good at, was embroidery, and cross stitch. So those works adorned my home.

A few years back, I bought a cd. It could change a photograph into a cross stitch scene.

There was a lovely photo of my two elder grandsons H, and Sn, with me too in the picture. I scanned the photo to my computer, and changed it into a cross stitch scene.

I started working on it. My eyes couldn’t take the strain. I let it be for a while. It’s still lying somewhere in my sewing room.

Now that I have time, I suppose I can work on it, that’s if I can find it. But now, I want IB (the youngest one) in my picture too. So now I will wait for an appropriate photo in which all three are there, or make another effort to work at two tapestries.
