Sucked Down a Black-hole

Daily Prompt: Breaking the Ice
The Internet has recently been swept up by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Is there a cause – social, political, cultural, or other — you passionately believe in? Tell us how you got involved — or why you don’t get involved.

There are so many terrible diseases, and it’s a wonder how we survive. Misfortune! when a disease strikes suddenly. All plans in life are abandoned in finding strength to fight it. We ask ourselves, why it happened? And why us?

Suddenly the insurance we have is not sufficient to pay the medical bills. We go through life savings, house and whatever we have like a whirlwind, and there is nothing to fall back upon; except to watch our loved ones die.

From the millions donated, 1/3 should be spent on research. The rest should be put in a fund in helping those sick people who need the money having spent whatever they had. Hospitals have become a Black hole in sucking money from those who are ill.

The cost of hospitalization shouldn’t be sky high, and prohibitive. Can someone do something about it?
