I took this photo of the lighthouse from Son’s bedroom’s window. I zoomed in for it.
This one is again of the lighthouse— from the window.
There is a saying in Farsi (Persian language) Deir Ayad Durust Ayad which means It’s late but still correct. I just visited Cee Nuener, and noticed The Flower of the Day. I had this snap shot of the Lillies, so thought to utilize it.
Across the road where we live, there is an Old People’s Home. These Lillies bloom in their park. Sadly there are no benches there. If there had been the old ones could have enjoyed the outside. Instead they sit on the steps of their building on the curb facing the busy street, and watch the world go by.
Saturdays and Sundays there is a large number sitting outside.

Wanting to take a photo of the lake, I couldn’t go through. The area was off limits by the plastic rope going round the trees.

Taking a photograph while in a car, traveling at top speed isn’t a good option. Son for once took pity on me. He took a detour, and stopped at some parking space to let me explore the place in hunt for some photographs.
Looking for a way down to the shore, I came across the rope extending over a large area, and couldn’t find a way down. Highly disappointing! I climbed back into the car to continue with the journey.
Son for once sensed my acute disappointment. He stopped suddenly in front of a house on which there was a for sale sign. There were wooden steps downward to the shore. The ducks in the water were doing their own exploration.

I took this photo through a car window. Different monuments at intersections are there to enhance the look of the city.
DAILY PROMPT

Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.
The one I created in needlework.
The Artist’s Eye
Is there a painting or sculpture you’re drawn to? What does it say to you? Describe the experience. (Or, if art doesn’t speak to you tell us why)
The mountains look blue and grey
Grey clouds dot the sky
Maybe it will rain
Or the clouds will just pass by

Another view (same place)

Through the Window
Go to the nearest window. Look out for a full minute. Write about what you saw.
I was saying my Isha Prayers before sleeping when my son knocked on the door, and said, “Mom! Please pray for safety as there is a flood, and tornado warning”.
Through out the night there was a merciless torrent of rain beating against the roof, and windows. There was so much noise, I couldn’t sleep. Anyway it’s calm now, and the sun showed its’ face briefly before hiding his face in the watery sky.
Thank God there wasn’t a living nightmare.

Nightmares
Describe the last nightmare you remember having. What do you think it meant?

We all get jealous from time to time — what wakes the green-eyed monster for you?
I am sure most of us must have read or heard of this piece of advice “Think before you speak”, or “Speak less, listen more”.
A week earlier we had a get together at my son’s home. I have a tendency to give compliments where I feel it’s due. I just can’t withhold it. It’s the way I am, and my this habit is very old.
I remember I was singing praises of some girl before my uncle, and he asked me, “don’t you feel envious of her?”
“No! Why should I”, was my reply.
Now I think I should curb this habit, but changing myself is a bit too late. A lady I like for her ready wit, was at this dinner. I said something admiring to her. Another lady X listening said, “are you complimenting her, or finding fault with her?” For the moment I was speechless.
I was suddenly at a loss for words. I was mentally aghast at her interpretation of what I said.
Today is another party at a friend’s home, and my own advice to myself is, “keep away from X”.
