Past shadows pushed me into sorrow
Memories of rainbows pulled me though
What went in my life, what remains
My life experiences, the whole info
I am a pawn in the hands of fate

When I look through the window at each sunrise
Blues, and greys dot the skies
I feel thankful that I am alive
Blessed, and happy to feel so energized
Why do I get pulled by woes
Why must I think of them as foes
They are the flies in my ointment
They make me feel discontentment
Dark clouds come, and go away
Rainbows come in place to adorn, and play
What I have to do is to push my worries aside
And feel rejuvenated at each sunrise
