Howl at the Moon
by Ben Huberman
“Follow your inner moonlight; don’t hide the madness.” — Allen Ginsberg
Do you follow Ginsberg’s advice — in your writing and/or in your everyday life?
The inner self maybe dark, and beautiful
What if no one liked the inner you
Say it won’t come out ever
Rejection, misery will be you
Everyone likes a perfect picture
The one painted with everyday lies
Everlasting love is a fantasy
Truth is hard to take, or visualize
Let the lovely, luminous shine
Ugly darkness only petrifies
Each eye relates to beauty only
What the world at large signifies
(Sheen)
