Aging

I stared at my wrinkle willing it to go

It wouldn’t disappear, whereas I wanted no show

I rubbed at it with cream, every lotion I had

It was still there when I looked at it, “how sad!”

  1. Oh gosh! I look so old in the mirror nowadays! Am I really that old? I still feel like a young girl in many ways. But we can’t stop the aging of the body, can we? Maybe postpone it a bit!
Better stay young at heart and remember that the soul doesn’t age
(and get a new pair of glasses – but not wear them when looking in the mirror)

    1. I don’t mind the laughter lines, but the one I wrote is a straight one, perpendicular beneath the edge of my right eye.
Anyway wrinkles are part of aging, unless one takes precautions early on in life like Kim Kardashian by not smiling.
