I stared at my wrinkle willing it to go
It wouldn’t disappear, whereas I wanted no show
I rubbed at it with cream, every lotion I had
It was still there when I looked at it, “how sad!”

DAILY PROMPT
Young At Heart
What are your thoughts on aging? How will you stay young at heart as you get older?
Oh gosh! I look so old in the mirror nowadays! Am I really that old? I still feel like a young girl in many ways. But we can’t stop the aging of the body, can we? Maybe postpone it a bit!
Better stay young at heart and remember that the soul doesn’t age
(and get a new pair of glasses – but not wear them when looking in the mirror)

Wrinkles are part of who we are
Puts the character in our face
Growing old gracefully
Show the interesting angles to our face

Tell me that on a bad day… HAHAHA
Just joking! I know what you mean, and I agree.
Nice poem!

Good one! 🙂 How sad that wrinkles once they come, do not go 🙂

I don’t mind the laughter lines, but the one I wrote is a straight one, perpendicular beneath the edge of my right eye.
Anyway wrinkles are part of aging, unless one takes precautions early on in life like Kim Kardashian by not smiling.
